Hey Beatrice – I understand how it might seem surprising, but this collection of blogs was merely a few I was reading at that moment.

Blake Snyder provided the community with an amazing new look at the outlining process – and I actually spoke with him not too long ago to express my thanks as a reader.

His book is inspiring, his contribution to the community will be used for years to come, and the community of screenwriters (both pro and aspiring) will miss him greatly.

Hope your fellow writers will check out mine at http://thescreenwritinglife.blogspot.com/ I’m from New York and cover screenwriting from that angle as well as my love for the movie business in general. Blogs offer so much useful information to us writers as well as inspiration when needed.

So sorry to hear about Blake Snyder’s recent passing. He was a great teacher (I took his class in NYC in ‘06). His book Save the Cat helped me with my writing a lot.

I’m totally surprised that Blake Snyder’s blog at the Blake Snyder website is not listed. I was at a panel session over the weekend – every agent and manager on the panel touted Save the Cat! as the only structure paradigm to follow!

Hey Jim – John’s definitely one of my favorites as well – so much in fact, I provide a link to his site under the screenwriting resources section in the sidebar.

The sites above are merely what I was reading at the moment – as opposed to a definitive guide to screenwriting blogs and sites, you know?

I’m surprised johnaugust.com isn’t listed here (one of my favorites). It’s well written, personal, and a great collection of information on screenwriting and writing in general.
