Announcing the 2010 Screenplay Competition Series!

The 2010 Screenplay Competition Series is made up of an exciting chain of competitions.
It’s for screenwriters interested in receiving recognition for their work, free coverage from Scriptxray.com ($125 value), and even potential connection with independent producers.
Participants
All participating screenwriters will receive a complimentary xONE coverage service, which consists of a single page overview of the work submitted ($39 value). The xONE includes a short section dedicated to synopsis, another for comments, and a small version of the xGrid.
It’s yours free when you submit your screenplay!
Winners
Most screenwriters are really good in one area of screenwriting — whether it’s character development, theme work, visualization, or dialogue. So it’s time to create a competition where screenwriters with talent in one area, but not necessarily another, can win and become recognized for their talent.
You don’t have to be the best at everything — in fact, producers are looking to hire two different writers more often than not these days, because they know they can get awesome character work from one and fast-paced structure from another.
Prizes
Prizes will vary from from month to month, but you can look forward to seeing the following with every competition …
Recognition from Scriptxray.com
We’ll tell our network of over 3,000 producers, directors, and writers about your work and your talent as a screenwriter, announce your achievement on the blog, and create your very own page under the winners section so you can give your friends a link to your achievement on Scriptxray.com.
Free Coverage Service ($125)

We’ll evaluate your submission and provide Scriptxray.com’s full coverage service for free — that includes a synopsis, comments section, xGrid, and top sheet.
With this coverage, you’ll discover where your work needs improvement (if any), how to go about improving it, and what your talents are as a writer.
Coverage can be a great tool both for improving your work and shopping your work around with producers — when a producer sees that we recommend your work, they’re more likely to consider it.
Connection to Independent Producers
And finally, we’ll send your pitch and finished coverage to our contacts — mostly consisting of independent producers … the people that make movies, not decisions.
Submissions … Accepting Tomorrow
We’ll be starting the screenplay competition series with a small scale competition starting … tomorrow!

Are you accepting short scripts, or just feature length?
Hey Diane,
The series will focus on feature screenplays, but I’m sure we’ll roll out a short competition as well
