NEWS: Introducing PLACES – a picture’s worth a thousand words

Only a day or so after announcing our latest venture here at SXR, called EXPLORE, we suddenly came up with another fun idea we felt would make a nice addition here at SXR.

Introducing Places – where a picture’s worth a thousand words.

The idea is simple: we wanted to discover all the places you could possibly write. Here’s where it gets exciting – we challenge you to choose your pick of places we’ve shared here on SXR and write a thousand words there. We want to prove that a picture really is worth a thousand words, and we want you to help us do it!

Here’s how we’re hoping it works:

We post the latest PLACES picture depicting a place to write (see below), you go to some form of that place and write a thousand words what ever you’re working on (short story, novel, treatment, screenplay, whatev), and post your thousand words in the comments section below the picture. Simple!

Let’s get started! The first place we want to see you write is …

… in the lobby with J.J. Abrams!

Just kidding. We’ll keep this one for later, but until then keep your eyes open for the first PLACES post, which will include a picture of a place we think would make a good place to write.

Chow screenwriter.
