What We’re Looking For

If you have the first 30 pages of your screenplay written, we’d love to read them! We’re now accepting submissions for the Strongest Story Setup Screenplay Competition – a competition where the screenwriters with the ability to create the strongest story setup win!

All Participants Receive xOne Coverage

All participants of the competition will receive complimentary xOne Coverage from Scriptxray.com ($39 Value) once the winners are announced.

The xOne Coverage service is basic evaluation service including both a short synopsis and comments section as well as a mini version of the xGrid.

We’ll help you identify what needs work (if anything), what doesn’t, what you’re strong points are as a writer, and how you might be able to improve the overall project from an unbiased and professional standpoint.

This single paged coverage report can be an extremely powerful tool when submitting to producers as well — providing the producer with coverage from a professional story analyst will make their job easier and save them money … which makes you look really, really good!

Winners

There will be three winners — all of which receive recognition amongst our entire network of contacts, potential connection with interested producers, and xCoverage from Scriptxray.com ($125 Value).

We’ll forward your pitch, coverage, and contact information to the growing community of independent filmmakers in our network, thereby overthrowing the gatekeeper and putting them in touch with your work directly. If interested, they’ll contact you and request the full screenplay.

Winner  will be announced the 1st of May.

Guidelines

1. Submissions must be the original work of the participant.

2. Only .PDF .FDR and .DOC files will be accepted at this time.

3. While not a requirement, we suggest you register your work with the US Copyright Office and/or the Writer’s Guid of America.

4. We also recommend you to always retain physical copy of your work — even though this is purely a digital competition, it’s always a good idea in case your computer suddenly kicks the bucket.

Every participant receives the xOne Coverage package for their submission ($39), so really — competition aside –this is like a 75% discount for coverage!
