Hey guys,
Just wanted to toss you an update in regard to the Strongest Story Setup Screenplay Competition …
I’ve been flooded with last minute submissions all of yesterday and today, so I won’t be able to announce the winner until all are read and evaluated.
Thanks for your participation, patience, and awesomeness. The competition grew way beyond my expectations, and I’m already talking to a few companies in regard to sponsoring the next … which I’ll be announcing tomorrow — for sure!
I’m reading them as fast as I can!!!

Good to hear the progress. Just curious.
Any scripts knocking your socks off so far?
What’s the breakdown in term of genre?
More horror than dramas
or more dramas than horror etc
I’m a fan of thrillers, is this popular?
There are a lot of small dramas here, but thrillers are definitely up there!
Really impressed with the quality of work from everyone!
Interesting. What about sci-fi?
And could we possibly get an estimated planning for announcing the winners and delivering us the coverage. I’m checking my e-mail like crazy!
I’m a little over halfway through reading the submissions — I’m aiming for this weekend.
Hey Vincent, what kind of Sci-fi scripts do you write. High Concept, horror ? Did you read the new sci fi script Buck Rogers yet? Its written with 3D specifications. Its awesome.
Hey Jay,
The one I’ve submitted is my first sci-fi feature. I’ve cowritten it with a friend. It’s about a possible apocalyptical event.
Haven’t read the new Buck Rogers screenplay yet, where can I get it?
What’s the story? Will we know the results soon?
Yes, I recently finished reading through all the submissions — which were all super impressive — so now I’m just writing up the xOne coverage reports.
Keep an eye out for Friday’s post — I’ll be announcing the winner then.
Two and a half hours left of friday. Keeping us on the edge of our seats until the very last moment, eh? Just like a good movie
